The Story of Our Schools celebrates the role of schools within our city’s rich history. We facilitate a process of self-discovery for students and local communities by creating permanent, history-based exhibits in D.C. schools.
These interactive learning projects engage current and future students, instill a sense of pride in the school community, excite prospective families and local residents, and leave a positive legacy for future generations.
When you donate to The Story of Our Schools, your gift gives more students the chance to explore the rich history of their school community through experiential, 21st century learning opportunities. Not only is the final exhibit an on-going learning tool for students, it is also a place where neighbors and visitors can learn about and develop pride in the community it serves.
